Vel Satis. I can’t think of a more unloved big car than a French big car (aside from Citroen)

I like these a lot, such an odd combo of hatchback and luxury car. It’s no Avantime, but its weirdness appeals to me.

That thing has to be a fortune to tax in Ireland though.

€710, assuming it’s a 2.0.

1809 Euros with the 3.5L V6. I can see what you mean about big cars getting scrapped early.

That and the insurance, which would be a bigger issue for a young and impecunious driver looking for a cheap car.

And here I am paying €200 per year for a 3.0l in Germany. Sometimes car manufacturers greasing politicians does lead to some sort of trickle down economics.

Yes there is a bright side to corporate lobbying. Though even without that I can’t see a German being happy with an Irish BMW 316 tax dodge special.

Lots of 316s around. Initial purchase price/tax/insurance/fuel make them attractive if you want to look the part but have to keep a eye on your budget. It’s just that the penalty to upgrade to a 318 or 320 isn’t that high, so there are more of these around.

Ah, jetcars, nationally renowned for being crooks. I find it amusing that they actually quote you €50 extra for the alloy wheels, even though they don’t have replacement wheels.

Having said that, the VQ35DE V6 one should be worth it for the engine alone.

I love going there, I’m there almost every 2 weeks. I have sat in cars I would never have otherwise.

I test drove a few cars and started many others, but (suprise!) they all were more broken than previously thought. However you can get a car with new APK for under 600 euros, and if you are lucky or know what you are looking at, you can get a good deal.

if we are to do a carbarge run Oppo version, I know where I’ll be looking for my car.
